How do I connect to my dashcam?
Your dashcam broadcasts its own Wi-Fi network. On your iPhone, join that network in
Settings → Wi-Fi, then open CamCompanion.
Can I try the app without the camera?
Yes. Tap Try Demo Mode on the Home screen (or turn on the Demo Mode toggle
in Settings → Diagnostics) to explore the app with built-in sample data.
The recording dates look wrong.
Recordings are stamped with the camera's own clock at the time of recording. If the
camera lost power, its clock can reset until it reacquires GPS. CamCompanion pushes your
phone's time to the camera when you connect, which corrects future recordings.
Does CamCompanion collect my data?
No. Everything stays on your device and your camera. See the
Privacy Policy.
How do I report a problem with my specific camera?
In Settings → Diagnostics, turn on Diagnostics, reproduce the issue, then share
the diagnostic report with me. Wi-Fi passwords are removed automatically.
